I called the main branch at 419-352-0717 after hours on 12/13/08 at 6:45pm and a recording gave me this number 419-409-0529. I called 419-409-0529 at 6:47pm. This was the number to the maintenance department and i spoke with 'jon' or 'john'. Some one burglarized my home and i needed someone to fix the door as it wood not close let along lock since the lock, door, and frame was broke. I was told someone would be sent out.

At 7:41pm i called john since no one had arrived yet and the door still would not close completely. There was no answer.

At 8:09 i called john again and still no answer.

Finally at 10:55pm john calls me to tell me no one would be coming out. I waited four hours for him to call me to tell me no one was coming out.

I called the main office on 12/04/08 at 419-352-0717 to ask when someone would come out. Beth, the office manager, told me she had no clue and that there was no telling how long it would be. She told me she would call them and send them right out.

At 10:01am i called to see if she had any idea what was going on. Still nothing. A couple minutes later she called to tell me someone was coming out shortly.

The 'someone' was maintenance man Mike who finally arrived at 10:30am only to be upset that the door would not be an easy fix by just replacing the lock. I told him i had been waiting 17hours for someone to come out and fix the door that i had to prop closed with a chair and this was his response: 'I got a call about 8:30pm last night and i told them i wasn't coming out because i didn't feel like it because it was too late in the evening.' Those were his EXACT words.

I called to complain about this to the office and Beth understood, at least she acted like it, and told me that should not have happened. After talking with the owner of Greenbriar her mood change and called me to tell me that the maintenance men are not on call and do have lives of there own. If they are not on call then why give an after hours number for maintenance; they should be on call since they take care of multiple complexes in the area. Beth also preceded to tell me that the reason for Mike not going out on this 'call' was because he had a good reason and or excuse for not making it there that night. I told her 'not feeling like coming out because it was too late in the evening' was not a valid reason and that i disagreed with there business practices and services provided to the tenant.

In the lease it clearly states that the landlord 'shall provide a safe and sanitary environment.' As far as i am concerned he has breached this contract for placing me and my family in danger and risk of another burglary, by not sending someone out to fix the door until 17 hours later at which point only a dead bolt was replaced. I was told i had to wait for a few more hours in order to get the door replaced and fixed. So roughly 21 hours passed until i got a replacement door.

Clearly Greenbriar Inc. Does not care about the tenants safety and could care less if it upholds their own lease agreement.in the lease it states that Greenbriar Inc shall provide a 'safe and sanitary environment.' The owner refuses to release me from my lease and return me my deposit.
