We had a storm door lock fall apart leaving the door in the locked position. I figured a locksmith was the one to call. My renters called Dependable Lock and was quoted a price of 39 dollars to unlock the door.
I cleared her to spend what was reasonable and I would reimburse her. When the service guy arrived and looked at the lock he said it would be 500 dollars. She immediately told him that was too much. He decided he had over quoted and come down to 200 dollars.
She told me he was creeping her out and asked him to leave. He said that he would not leave until she paid him the 39 dollar service call. She called me and I told her to pay him and tell him to get lost.
We had a local door company come out and fix it for 80 dollars total! Dependable Locks Inc my arse!!!
When I called the number on the invoice and asked to speak to a manager or owner I was treated very rudely. I don't know who is running this outfit but I will make sure they never get my business or the business of anyone I know.
