Contact some of the people that Antlers has built houses for PRIOR to actually signing a contract. Be prepared for the completion date to slip 6 months from the date that you will be given. Also be prepared to have a house where the "punch list / to do" list will fill up both sides of a legal sheet of paper. Be prepared to have very significant problems with your boiler and heating system during the first winter after construction. Plan on having to arrange any repairs yourself as Antlers will probably not perform any repairs caused by boiler failures and frozen homes. Most importantly, purchase very, very good home owners insurance.
