In October we purchased a leather La-Z-Boy chair from Mathis Brother's. It is now November and our Leather Chair has been peeling for months and looks like trash.
We paid $595 (tax not included) for this La-Z-Boy Chair and thought we were making a good purchase because of two things, first, it was a La-Z-Boy and second it was made of durable leather.
Just past the one year mark it started peeling on the right arm cover and on the seat part of the chair. Today I contacted both the store, where we made the purchase, and La-Z-Boy. Both companies declined to help us out at all and provided us with excuse after excuse of why they couldn't help fix the problem.
When I contaced La-Z-Boy they said that they have very few unhappy customers and I asked them if they had so few why they couldn't help the few that were unhappy. She simply stated, "there are two sides to every story."
All my story is that we take care of our stuff and are very frustrated that an expensive recliner could not last a year. We are frustrated that no one would help us out.
