Unfortunately I am only now reading all of these complaints. I purchased a bedroom suite from the Roomstore in 8/01. It took over 4 months to get all the pieces to the bed but finally got it. I then paid off my balance before my one year deadline in 8/02. I then proceed to call HRS and ask that my acct be dissolved, and also called the Roomstore with same.
Only now, 1/03, I recieve a bill for $400 for a "purchase" I made 12/9/02. I too have call HRS and the Roomstore and even went into the store itself. I have been given any excuse from no response, we cannot do anything it's HRS, to this is a purchase/exchange from 8/01. AMAZING!!! I pulled my canceled check and it clearly states PAID IN FULL on the memo portion of the check, but somehow I have the feeling I will be fighting until I am blue in the face and my credit is trashed because of these idiots sponging money off of customers who paid their bills.
I think this store and HRS should be shut down and prosecuted by the Better Business Bureau and any DA that has a store in their area. This is an outrage and I cannot understand why it is being allowed to progress and continue!
