We bought custom-made drawers from CTAD previously through EBAY. He went way over his promised delivery date but compensated by giving us free delivery. We were so pleased with the quality we decided to order more drawers through his website trusting that he would deliver as before.
In Feb we paid Mr. Conwell through Paypal as requested and he promised 4-6 week delivery time. Since we live in NC also we agreed to pick them up instead of shipping since he lives close to family. 6 weeks came and went - we sent several emails and were promised each time that the drawers would be complete soon. We called and left messages but got no response and then he stopped responding to our emails.
We contacted Paypal but because of his 4-6 week delivery promise it was already beyond the time Paypal will assist in resolving disputes. We sent one more email on 5/20/08 and advised him that we would file reports of fraud against him. He responded to that email on 5/24/08 and promised again that the drawers would be delivered ASAP. We have not seen them yet or heard from him again.
We know now not to use Paypal for anything other than Ebay. Vendors get their money up front and you just have to hope they deliver as promised. Mr. Chad Conwell of CTAD, LLC kept our $330.20 and made no apologies for it. Do not order from him through his website or Ebay because he will probably not deliver.
