Do Not Use this company or the movers they subcontract!!!
I have never felt more vulnerable or taken advantage of by any company.
This company is a broker which means they sub-contract a smaller van line who then subcontracts out an individual service. You will never know who will pick up your hard earned furniture and valuables.
The movers that picked up our furniture worked for an individual mover named Victor Cortez out of Miami, FL who owned his own truck named Victor Relocation, Inc. They were 1 day late. No big deal... They stated they would arrive at our new home in 3-4 days well within the contract.
When they did not arrive on time, we called Victor's cell. He then told us that his truck needed a small repair and would be running again in 1-2 days. He then informed us that since the 4th of July weekend was approaching, he and his workers had decided to take the rest of the week off (with our furniture still in his truck). I tried to argue with him making other suggestions. He non-challantly told me "no" and that our stuff would arrive at HIS convenience.
They arrived almost a week later than they said. Then stated they needed to rent a shuttle truck to move our stuff from his truck to our house. The additional cost: $1200.
I asked him how much we would be reimbursed for their tardiness. He said $25 per day.
During his so called "shuttle", he hits the corner of our house causing $425 of damage. He did not even apologize for this. I had to continually question him about how this was going to be payed for before I finally gave me the number to speak with an insurance agent.
He and his workers treated our house and our things with little concern or care. We had to watch them continuously. We have many items that were damaged.
And by the way... The full coverage insurance that was offered from Nationwide??? They state they never received the paperwork to start it. Now I am left with some damaged items. They state I will receive 60 cents per pound per item which is nothing. I doubt they will even cover even that.
If you use Nationwide or Victor Relocation, you have been warned. I payed these guys almost $10,000 to move us and am sick to my stomach when I think about the poor customer service and complete disregard for others.
