This is a response to Mr. Bailey's rebuttal. While it is true that Mr. Bailey owns My Lawn Care Company on his own, he also was fully involved with Paradise Gardens as an owner. Mr. Bailey also was involved in Fries Mill Garden Center to the extent that he handed out business cards naming himself on said as an owner. The original contract with Fries Mill Landscaping doing business as Paradise Gardens was signed on May 31. Work began on June 18 and did not proceed again until June 25 pursuant to a contract signed with Mr. Bailey and Mr. Homan. At the time of the new contract it was established that work would be substantially completed by July 4. My husband at no time indicated that this was an unrealistic time-frame nor did he say that we would "work with them" with regard to extensions of time. Yes, a crew of 6 workers came 2 days, followed by several days of no shows and then a crew of 1 to 2 workers who would leave at 12:00-1:00 P.M. Followed by more days of no shows. My problems were not with the workers as they only could follow the instructions of Mr. Bailey and Mr. Homan. Yes I fed the workers everyday they worked because I do that for all people who work at my property. I was continually met with a string of excuses as to why they were not at my home performing the work they were paid to do. We were met with one sob story after another such as they did not have the correct tools to cut the EP Henry pavers. My husband rented the saw from Home Depot (at our expense) and it sat in my garage for 1 week, it was never touched. We were assured that this would help them speed along the work. Pavers were installed around my pool, however, they were simply placed there not glued as they should have been. The river rock which was installed was fine other than the fact that there was not enough to complete the job. Also no weed blocker was placed. Walkways were dug out and packed with the sub flooring which we later learned was not the correct materials and had to be removed by the new company hired to complete the work. Pavers were delivered to my home, not nearly enough to complete the job though. Once Paradise Gardens was told to cease and desist because of their breach of contract I was informed that "they were coming to get them". I informed the company that they could not come onto my property and take things that I paid for. I informed them that I would contact the police if they showed up. The response I received was that "a lot of damage can be done to your property and you in the 15 minutes for the police to arrive". Needless to say this was very unsettling. With regard to the fact that Mr. Bailey's attorney did not file a response to the complaint and a judgment by default was entered, this would have to be the case with approximately 4 other people them. There are numerous judgments with regard to landscaping issues out there against the company and Mr. Bailey. He would have you believe that he was completely innocent and as he states "respectful". This could not be further from the truth. Also, check out the Better Business Bureau and see how many marks Mr. Bailey's company Paradise Gardens has against him. Contrary to what he states with regard to the split as to who did what work, he was still an owner and responsible. The complaint which was filed against this company and Mr. Bailey and Mr. Homan should have not been a surprise as they were notified in July by our attorney of our intent. Do yourself a favor and stay away from any business Bailey or Homan are involved in.initially, we gave a deposit of almost $9,000.00 then made a payment for a vinyl fence (which we never received and was never ordered from the company) in the amount of $4200.00. They stated that they had to use the monies given to them for other work which in the STate of New Jersey you are not allowed to comingle funds, however, they seem to play by their own rules. We had to hire another company to come in and correct and finish the work. We were amazed that a real company could complete the work in 6 days and it looked beautiful and it took these jokers 3 weeks and nothing was done. At the end of 3 weeks I still had no grass in my back yard, which meant that my children could not use the backyard during summer vacation, you could not walk to my front door because that was dug up my existing fence was partially removed and never put back up, the fence I paid for never arrived and therefore was never installed, the vinyl railings on my front porch never arrived and never were installed, my front porch never had the EP Henry installed so I truly question what planet Mr. Bailey is from stating that work was substantially completed. The company who completed the job stated that approximately 20% was completed and I believe this was being generous. Beware Mr. Bailey comes off like a nice sweet man and once you fall for it will take you like he did to the 6-7 other people who have complaints and/or judgements against him.
