Home Depot sells a Ryobi Model BC30 that is made expressly for them. The full Model No. Is RY30004D.
In just over one season of household use, the design of the product is such that the heat of the engine caused the fuel tank to melt through.
This problem has made the string trimmer inoperable.
Ryobi Customer Service would not supply a replacement fuel tank directly to the customer. Even if the fuel tank was replaced it would not be a safe tool to use.
Home Depot and Ryobi should recall all of these trimmers and refund the purchase price or replace them with models that are safe to use.
