My realtor did not have the home warranty contract at time of closing. I received it a month after closing, did some renovations to purchased home before moving in and found the thermostat was broken and heating system died in January. They refused to do any work or consider doing any, stating that I inherited a pre-existing problem therefore they could not honor contract.
My realtor, closing attorney and related parties refused to work with me concerning my problem. I now have a $5000 repair job and no resources. My heating and AC system has oil leaks and I have to pay for all repairs.
I've had the thermostat on the first floor replaced and the thermostat on the second floor operates in emergency mode only. I want people to be aware and do research before signing on with any insurance company.
I moved from CT and did'nt have any contacts. My realtor chose this company for me in order to make a sell. He also chose the attorney so I want everyone to realize that there are many scam artist out there. The inspector should have detected this problem during his inspection. He works with the realtor. They all have a scam going on.
