Several new homeowners were deceived into purchasing new constructed home in the New East Bronx, working class community. We are promised solid and sturdy construction and a city tax abatement. The tax abatement allowed us to be approved for loans.
What we recieved: We recieved shady, sub -par construction, (e. G roof leaks, pumping problem, bolier issue, sewer issue, insulation problems). We were told by the City HPD, the lawyer and developer NEVER completed the tax abatement application where each homeowner was charge 3,800.00
Also, each of the buyer were forced into ARMs mortages operating and run by the construction / developer. Smar Homeowner were refinanced to fixed, put paid upto $40,000 in closing cost. Those who could not get out of the arm mortages went into foreclosure.
This should be criminal.
Mark Stagg is crooked developer and preys on poor people. Kathleen Bradshaw is an unscrupulous lazy attorney.
