After the Hurricanes of 2005 we had major roof damage. We hired Florida State Roofing - a company that was licensed in Palm Beach County. They wanted 12000 Dollars and slapped a new roof on in 4 1/2 hours with four or five spanish speaking helpers. Since that appeard arkward, I tried to contact the better business bureau (label was printed on their card) but they were not listed. It turned out their license had expired too and they had no licence from our city. I wanted to refuse part of the payment, but our local Sheriffs department informed us, that that was against the law. We paid only 9000 istead of 12000 dollar, after they signed us a warranty. Now, 2 1/2 years later our roof leaks and water runs down our walls just like it did after the Hurricane and the company does not seem to exist anymore. They obviously did a shitty job and we are left with a mess. It was a scam. They pretended to be licensed, pretended to be a member of the BBB, pretended to have been in business for 25 years and were supposed to use only the best materials. Hurricanes have troubled us enough and then people come and ripp you off. I hope they catch the guys.
