In October a Tri-Star representative under the name of Asthma Prevention came to my disabled son's home and "sold" him a $2,500 vacumn cleaner which after financing was $3,268. When I asked my disabled son about the sale he said " I had to sign the papers to get the guy to leave".
I called the company and talked to a manager who said if the person was able to sign the contract it was valid, and would not address the ethics of a salesman who would pressure sell a unneeded vacumn to a obviously mentally disabled person, with the mental capacity of a 13 year. He would also not address the tactics of a salesman that refused to leave when requested.
I was told that if the person was able to sign the contract it did not matter that they were obviously impaired.
It was pointed out to me by the manager that this deal included a certificate to provide a opportunity to rent carpet cleaning machines for Solo Technologies for the next 25 years - a potential value of $2500. The only problem with this is the company in Colorado Springs - Solo Technologies - had closed their doors at least 2 years before. So this certificate was not valid when it was signed.

This company apparently has no qualms selling a over priced vacumn to a obviously mentally challenged adult and placing him in a serious financial bind for years to come. They could not attach a lein to his home without my signature so they took the cowards way by having Jason sign a installment contract.
I would be ashamed, apparently this company has no feelings as long as they make a profit and collect commissions.
