On Oct 19,07, North Shore Lawn Sprinkler supposed to send a technician to my house to turn off the sprinkler system for the winter. They installed it for me more than 5 years ago. The receptionist specified the technician will come 5:30pm - 7:00pm. I was home around 5:30pm and the technician did not show up NOR DID he give me a call. After that I received a charge for $30.00 plus 2 X $0.54 for delayed payment. I like to stress the following:
1. No evidence shows the technician did come on Oct 19
2. Nobody mentioned this $30 "not at home" charge warning to the customer when the customer made appointment for the technician to come.
3. No document to show customers this is a company's policy to charge the customer a "not at home" fee.
I feel this is a rip off from this company and I refuse to pay the charge. I hope someone in usacomplaints.com can help me to resolve this matter.
