TXU Raping and Molesting the Public's Bank Accounts with No Remorse

July I was getting hit extra hard at my small store in Dallas on electric bills, and I felt like I was being overcharged so I called to ask TXU for help. I thought maybe there would be a better plan out there to help save money. The first representative I talked to said that TXU provided a new plan which was an Average Billing Plan.

My response was immediately no due to the fact that I did not want one single high bill all year long because that plan did not fit my needs. The representative informed me that I could quit this plan at anytime without any penalties and they would even credit me $595 since I had paid my bill the day before. My bills for my business are usually around $1900 to a high of $2500 in the summer. The day before, I had paid a bill that was the amount of $2288. The representative informed me that my bills would range in between $1400 to $1600 at the highest. Once again I was informed that the bill could never fluctuate more than $200 or $300 and I had no penalties or fees if I cancelled at any time. Before our conversation the automatic answering machine at TXU told me that my call was being recorded. I had asked the representative many times in many different way if I can quit at any time without having to pay nothing except what was on my bill I get. She assured me that there were no penalties or hidden cost. I wanted to make sure there was no hidden cost and once again asked if I would receive a credit. The representative said the credit would appear on my next or second bill and my bills would average $1490 in the summer.

The first bill I receive was $1654.81 and I thought well she said it would fluctuate but yet that seemed high for me because of the plan I went with. I decided to give TXU a call when I could. The second bill I received was $1944.72 in two months! My plan was up to my original complaint amount so I gave TXU a call to see what the deal was. I asked to talk to a supervisor, whose job obviously was to get rid of the complaints. The supervisor told me the only way I could get off the plan was to pay $3200 on top of my recent bill. He also informed me that I had no credit and everything the representative said was not true and that my bills were around $1400 and could not figure out why the representative told me those deals in the plan. The supervisor verified the representative's employment there and that they did record our conversation.

Customer service calls however, took no responsibility of her actions and said there was nothing they could do. The supervisor went on explaining how many people complained about that plan and I'd be better if I paid the amount of $3200 if I didn't like the plan, because he had seen that exact plan go up to $10,000 in hidden charges and they could be added without any notice.

After all this it was obvious that I had been lied to the change into a terrible plan when I realized it. Kurt told me" yeah you were wrong so pay the money." I waited to call back and talk to a more reasonable TXU representative after getting traded from person to person. We ended up getting Kurt again, TXU Supervisor Problem Solver. Kurt said once again he would no help us in any way.

Now it is winter where my bill used to range around $600 it is not $2332.32. Kurt informed me he would call me back right away to help us resolve this matter after we collected our records. After gathering our records overnight, Kurt would not answer our calls or come to the phone for us. Now I'm in a rut because I can not cut off the power to my business and it's impossible to change companies due to an unpaid bill
"TXU Hidden Cost." My bill is up to $5000 now on top of my regular bill.

Since I have wrote this story I have switched to Reliant Energy and now am satisfied. I have figured in the 18 months I was with TXU I was overcharged $19,966.26. Not only was I overcharged but I was also robbed of many other things including 20-25 minutes I had spent on the phone everyday while I was a customer which averaged approximately 5998 minutes while on contract. Here's a list of things that were taken from me against my will by TXU: air conditioner, heat (were too expensive to operate), having to take away some lighting in my store to save on energy cost and as well as limiting myself to the absolute bear necessities so that my small business could survive. I also had to pay another person to help make phone calls and pleas to TXU in pursuit of justice. I ask for anyone to help bring TXU to Justice. I would be happy to tell this story to anyone who is willing to listen.
