Ralph (owner) from SunShield Construction sent a salesman by the name of Brian Casey to give me an estimate for a screened in patio. Brian wrote a contract and I gave him $1100 down for the job. He said it would be 2-3 weeks to get the approval from my association and the permits. After 3 weeks I hadn't heard a thing. I called Ralph and he said he couldn't do the job for the price quoted. He said the salesman was ripping him off and he fired him. I said fine, just send my money back. We also agreed to have another estimate done. He said it would take him 2-3 weeks to send me my depoit back. Twice he was supposed to show up, and twice he didn't. 6 weeks went by and I still had not received my depoit. The last time I talked to him he had every excuse in the book, but the best one was he didn't have my money. Isn't that against the law? Isn't that theft? He has not responded to my calls since. I will file in small claims court if I can find time. You know, I have to go to work every day so I can throw my money away on bad businessmen.
