Dean Schneider (hands out flyers as D&S Construction) scammed several thousand dollars from my parents. He responded to an ad they placed asking for estimates from licensed/insured contractors to do some concrete construction work on their patio. He responded and came to their house to do an estimate. He is not licensed and he is not insured.
He is a pathological liar. You will catch him in a lie and he tries to lie his way out of the lie. He lied about having a MHIC number (he does not, he fraudulently uses someone else's). When we looked up the number, someone else's name came up. He then claimed he worked under that person. When we called that person, that person said Dean only has worked for him a few times in the past. Dean also said he did a lot of work at a local diner. When we called the diner to check the reference, the diner said that Dean only did some painting but they were not satisfied with the paint job and were not planning to have Dean perform any further work.
