I purchased a Maytag EPIC dryer at Home Depot on 2/3/07 which was installed in my home on 2/7/07 This dryer has not been in working order ever since instalaton. I went to Home Depot in person on the very same day that the dryer was installed to explain the situation and was given phone numbers to call for Maytag to replace the dryer that does not work. I phoned what turned out to be a Whirlpool numer which transferred me back to a Maytag support rep. I was told a repair man would have to come to my home to evaluate the dryer in question, which did occur. The dryer could not be repaired the repairman told me and wrote on the report that it needed to be replaced. More phone calls to Maytag/Home Depot/Whirlpool, and on and on and on. The last phone call to the Maytag support team on 2/28/07 I was told that my order had not been processed properly by one of the employees, so I would have to wait yet another 24 hours to have someone phone me to schedule a replacement delivery and instalation. Well it is now saturday I have heard nothing back from Maytag, and Home Depot has not been any help, telling me to keep calling Maytag.
I have sent e mail to the Maytag support team and to various CEO's of the companies involved with this mess. Please see the wonderful e mail response from Maytag.

Product question
I purchased a Maytag EPIC clothes dryer on 2/3/07 from Home Depot. Ever since this dryer has been installed it has not been in working order. I have been repeatedly told by your phone representatives that the dryer
will be replaced. I keep hearing that a service person will call me about a time to schedule a replacement delivery, this has yet to happen.
I have been stuck with this useless dryer for almost a month now. I have had it with your company, this is the most ridiculous customer service, or LACK there of.
I need someone to resolve this problem A.S.A.P. I am tired of being nice about this situation. I made a purchase of a new dryer in good faith, and have been spit on. I will never by anything Maytag again.
If this is the way you treat your customers Everyone should be informed. I think I will inform everyone in the Law firm in which I work of this situation and tell them never to buy a Maytag.
