Bought a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer about 2 years ago with an extended warranty from Lowes. The dryer drum has split apart totally due to poor workmanship. This was a heavy duty dryer. I had Sears repairman and also a local repairman look at the dryer. Both said they cannot believe the dryer drum fell apart and said this is a warranty issue, defective workmanship etc. Maytag and Lowes now says I did not purchase an extended warranty. I did. The cost to repair the dryer is $680.00. I have chosen to purchase a new one. I have been screwed.
