Were niave. But stupid us! We developed a trusting
Buisines relationship with them and we believe we were
Cheated!
The broker we worked with new all along what we had for a
Down payment. When it came time we were told that she
Could get it lowered. How nice. She got us the lowest
Down she could then made up the difference with her and
Her companys commision more than double what the average
Charge is. We were never told their exact charge. A
Guestimate was sent to us "for our records only" with the
Fee being $2,900. Ended up almost $7, ooo! We asked and
Asked in the last few days before closing what we needed
For the down and were told i dont know yet. Then the
Closing company calls not her with the total. And wouldnt
You know its $2,000 more than the maximum we had and we
Had more than 15% down! Keep in mind this is for a
$125,000 loan. So i got to the bottom and called to find
Out what i was paying. Turns out that 60% of the down
Payment went to them. I could not believe it $7,000 for
Someone to call and find us a lender? They milked us for
All they could then acted like car salesmen when we
Caught on they eventualy lowered their amount 1,000 but
It ended up somewhere else in the cash then they said
They would "hit the magic button" and we could go sign.
Sound like a used car lot huh?
Anyway we were trusting and got cheated and milked for
All they could get us for. Bottom line is if a company
Isnt up front with you dont trust them! Buying your first
Home is supposed to be happy not shocking!
