Ripoff fabric on sofa is defective and won't stand behind

I purchased a special order Broyhill sofa from JC Penney in July. The sofa wasn't shipped and received until October. The fabric on the cushions started balling up like the fabric on a sweater does sometimes. I have called JC Penney and found out that they only warrant the fabric for one year. After that, you are stuck with the thing!

I was never told about the one year warranty and foolishly thought that if the fabric was bad that quickly, they would care. I trusted the name JC Penney. Also checked and even Broyhill doesn't care. I have a $900 sofa and it looks awful within a year and a half. I am just out $900. There is no one on the sofa on a regular basis except myself.

This is the biggest rip off I have ever experienced. I will have to buy a new sofa, but I promise I will never buy one from JC Penney or let anyone I know do the same. What a shame.
