Purchased a new dual reclining sofa in March. Promised delivery within 1-2 weeks, which became 6 weeks. I was told special price was due to overstock of particular color, NOT GRADE OF FABRIC.
Sofa in my home May. Found first defect two weeks later and second defect the following week. The fabric was thin and the seams were barely sewn together. The seams completely separated exposing cheap pieces of foam. I notified the general manager of problems.
It took 23 days for someone to come and look at the defects. I told the company the sofa was defective and I wanted something different. Nothing else was available in that price range. I was then advised my sofa had been DISCONTINUED DUE TO DEFECTS.
I was expected to pay $200.00 for the "replacement model" in order to get a different grade fabric. DENIED A REFUND after numerous trips to store over a 3 1/2 month period. Still no resolution and I am now aware of a class action lawsuit against the company in New Jersey for similar complaints.
In addition, the DISCONTINUED AND DEFECTIVE sofa is still currently advertised in store ads and on the Internet at $499.99. The model name is JEAN and the fabric is PACIFIC HEATHER. BEWARE!!!
