I hired Home Depot to install a fence around my back yard. I told them I wanted to keep my old fence after it was removed in order to put up the new fence. Home Depot contracted the job to US Fence who contract AG Enterpraises inc. Which a Mr. Ezequiel Aguila came and put up the new fence. I stated to Mr. Aguila that my old fence was not to be taken away, I had plans for it. My old fence consisted of two chain link fences 10'x4'
and 7'x4' also a gate. I also had a wroth iron fence that only a small portion was to be remove with a wroth iron gate. Mr. Aguila repeated to me in english not to remove the fence, but spoke to the gentleman with him in Spanish.
When the gentleman with Mr Aguila removed my old fence he placed it in my yard next to my tree. I saw my fence there as they worked. I was in and out of the house the entire time they were working and my old fence was there.
When the job was finished I went in the house to write a check for them, while they cleaned up after themselves. I returned and gave them the check and they left. When they had pulled off I looked at the job that they had done and noticed my old fence gone.
I could not call the office that evening because the office close at 5:00 pm and it was around 6:30 pm.
I called the office first thing the next morning and they asked me if I wanted my old fence removed. I said no. I was told that they would bring it back. When I got home from work my fence was not back. It was after 5:00. I called the office the following day and was told the Mr Aguila would call me. I received a call from another young man who said Mr. Aguila said he did not have my fence and that it was my word against his word. He also stated that when Mr Aguila returned to their store for more lumber to finish the job they did not have my fence with them. They men never left my property during the time the fence was being installed. I was home the entire time. They arrived at my house around 10:00 and the left at 6:30 give or take. The Date was Wednesday Aug. 23.
I contacted Home Depot to try and solve the matter since they are the ones that I hired to begin with and they ask me what did I want them to do. I had to take the matter up with US Fence because they did the work and it was their word against mine. They would check into it but they cannot change what has been done. If they say they don't have it then that's what I have to go with.
Is this or is this not a Rip-off?
