Allstate Factory Service
(owner Said His Name Was MANNY) Refused to accept full payment when giving estimate, second visit they quoted a price DOUBLE of what was on the estimate. Stole parts out of machine

Allstate factory service is a repair service that is connected to whirlpool to repair their clients appliances.

I had a washing machine that wasn't working properly. They came out gave me an estimate of the total cost of that visit and the next visit, and the parts. I offered to pay the whole total right there and then so I wouldn't have to worry about it. The reapirman said he'd rather have it in seperate payments. I gave him the first payment of 60 dollars and then he left and said they would be back the next week.

The next week came around and a different repairman came to my house. He told me an amount that was twice what the statement had on it. I was talking to him trying to figure out why it was so much than the first estimate while he was still working on my clothes washer.

I tried to understand his explaination but he had a very thick accent, and after maybe 5 minuets of trying to figure out why he was asking for so much he walked out of my apartment in the middle of the conversation. I walked out after him and asked him where he was going. He said he was going to his van for more parts so I believed his lie and went back inside.

Five minuets later I was wondering what was taking him so long. I looked outside and his van was gone. I called his cell because I had it on my caller ID from him calling trying to get into the apartments security gate. He told me I was stupid, used profanity, and told me I was never to call the company again. So I called the home office and they told me they apoligized and they told me the manager would call me back. I never got a call back.

The next day I called and made another appointment since the manager had never called me and I still wanted to have my machine fixed, they told me the manager was not in at that time but he would call me later that day. He never called. The next two days were saturday and sunday, saturday I was working so I didn't call them, but also the manager still hadnt call me. Sunday they were closed.

Monday rolls by I called to verify my appointment time for the next day, and still the manager never talked to me or called me. Now the next part is what is insulting, rude, and what anyone with any morality should consider an outrage.

The next day was my appointment on Tuesday, on that day at 8 AM the manager calls me!

He tells me no one is coming out! They will never come out again! (by the way the exclamation points is him YELLING at me) Told me that it was my fault for not knowing the amount (even though the estimate was still half of what was quoted and all I was aking for was an explaination why) I tried to explain to him that his repairman didn't speak english very well so I was only trying to figure out what was going on with the differences in amounts, and it was hard because of his thick accent, but the manager told me I was the one who had the problem and it was my fault for living to Miami and not knowing spanish! He didnt care about the guy leaving in the middle of the job!

I didnt ask the repairman to leave and I never refused to pay... The manager still yelled at me. He was yelling at me to the point that I asked him "why are you yelling at me?" I just wanted to know why it was twice the amount that had been given to me the first visit even though that statement was suppossed to include the parts and labor. The manager (he said his name was Manny and that he was the owner) continued to yell and hung up on me.

This is not the end...

So I call another repairman. He comes over, works for 5 minuets and then asks me where the motor. Or some other part is. I asked him what he was talking about, and he said that there were 3 parts missing from my clothes washer!!! He would not be able to repair the machine without these parts and the cost of these parts was equal to just buying a new machine.
Let me repeat...

Allstate factory service took parts out of my machine to the point that it was cheaper to buy a new one.

I do not want to sue. I just hope that this never happens to anyone again. Since the manager I talked to told me he was the owner I do not feel like there is any coporate number or service department I can turn to. The only thing is that they are contracted by whirlpool to do repairs (how I got their number in the first place) I did contact whirpool but they didn't seem to be able or willing to do anything other than listen. I just want no one else to have the same degrading experience like I had with this company.
