I had rented with American Storage Centers for almost a year when, last October, i received a notice that my items would be sold at the end of the month.
I immediatly called the center adn was told no auction was schedualed until the end of November. The woman on the phone told me if i paid before then everything would be alright. I sent them a check which was returned becouse of the delinquancy of the account. My boyfriend went in and handed them $200 in CASH and was told everythign was fine. There was still $20 owed to bring the account current but the auction would not include my items.
When i returned on December 8 i was told all my things were sold. The manager, Jen, agreed to try and contact the people who bought the unit, but to this day i have not been contacted back.
My things were unfairly sold and my $200 all but stolen. They are crooks. I am still searchign for any information regarding the unit, M34B sold 11/30/05, even going so far as to offer a reward, but thus far no luck.
Whatever u do, stay away fromt his center. Who knows when they will auction off ur things too!
