I contacted Patroit via there web site. I was contacted by "Stuart" and after a lengthly conversation with him I told him that I wanted to think about it, and he advised me that the rate would be changing and if I wanted to lock in I had to make a decision by the end of the day. Having never moved before I went along with his "professionals" opion.
My main concern, I told him was my antique dinning room set. Stuart advised me that "their" movers were professionals and they would take very special care of it. He also told me insurance was included in the shipping price up to $15,000. He never offered me additional coverage.
My next contact was the delivery person telling me to have a postal mo for an addional $4,800. (not the $1,000 quoted) Opening the truck I discovered my dining room set was completely destroyed. Glass broken, shelves smashed and the leg of the table snapped off.
I was told by a very rude person at Patriot to go back to the shipper. They could not help me.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have contacted a lawyer to settle this for me.
