American Home Shield Warranty
Ripoff warranty company, not wanting to pay for ac repair they authorized

I can't believe it happened to me. On Wednesday June 1st, I went to put on the AC, to no avail it did not work. I purchased this home 8 months ago. The Reality Ianotti Reality purchased this warranty for me thinking it was a added bonus.

On June 2nd I called AHS Warranty and they said they would send someone out. On Wednesday June 7, Tim from Meridian Heating and Cooling came to our home and said that there is a leak in our AC on the outside unit and he tried something and left after 5 minutes and 50.00 later for me. He gave me his cell and work # and said if nothing happens in 30 minutes call him back... I did and no answer for 2 weeks. I called and called AHS and they said they need to give him time to come back to the house.

After two weeks of Hot and Humid weather I called and said thats it I want someone else to come out here right now and they said it was a busy time for them and they had no one right now. I was authorized to call an outside company (Imhof Supply Company) and have them look at it. They came and we called just like they asked me to and waited on hold for 22 minutes with the tech, told them the same thing that Tim did and they said they needed a diagnosis. We needed to do a die test. Another 4 days. They did the die test, it had a major hole in the outside unit and they said fine. Authorized the unit. Tuesday, June 21, a Sally called me at 5:30pm and told me there was a problem with the price of coverage 1,600 was the cost and only 1425.00 was authorized due to they did not cover the caping of the freon and the removal of the old unit and the new tubing. WHAT??? I said hey listen there is no caping of the freon because its all over my grass in the back yard and the removal of the old unit he was going to take for free so why are you taking this amount away from the cost... I told her they were coming on Friday the 24th of June to put the unit in and I was taking a half day of work to be here. She told me to have the tech call them when they arrived at the house. I called and was put on hold for 45 minutes and then a women asked me to put the tech on the phone while she transfered him to the dispatch dept... He spent 20 minutes on line with this women and she told him to go ahead and place the unit in and the price discripency would be talked over with me. 3 Hours later I received a message on my phone telling me (her name was Sara) that is was not authorized and they would not pay for my new outside unit. I immediately called and spoke with Andrea a floor supervisor, as well as Sally who was and Sara who left the message. I told him what happened and he said he would get back to me... Did he... Nope so I called again and had to repeat my story to 3 different people until I spoke with Angie another floor supervisor... She then told me the same story and referred me to Jeff who is another floor supervisor... I finally had it with Jeff and told him I wanted to speak with the CEO or someone else because they were not going to do this to me... I was not going to be a victim here. He told me a Ray would call me at some point in time. I am out 200.00 for the die test they authorized and the 1600 for the new unit they authorized. I am at my wits end and ready to fight. I will be contacting my local consumer advocate here in Pittsburgh, The Attorney Generals Office and writing to the CEO and the Better Business Bureau as well as going in with Larry in Class Action Suit.

I refuse to be a victim and I am fighting back... Hard
