I bought a Sealy Havelock Firm, for $1,000.00 in August. The mattress started sagging after one year of use. The sagging was quite severe and not limited to any one section.
I called Mattress Discounters a number of times and was ignored. I finally asked to speak with a supervisor and was given the # of their inspection team. The inspection was terrible - the man was incredibly creepy and told me I had to sign his report despite the fact he wrote the bed had "stains" on it. It doesn't.
First off, let me just say, there are discolorations from the sagging and 1 or 2 small stains that I actaully washed off after the report. Poor me for doing this after. The mattress is in a spare bedroom and is barely used (I actually cannot use it anymore because the sagging is so severe, it hurts my back—and I'm only 30years old).
A week after my inspection I was told that Mattress Discounters has invalidated my warranty due to the stains. Second, that even though they attached the inspection report which clearly outlines the huge amount of sagging, the letter says "With this in mind... Finds no structural defects with your mattress." WHAT? I invite anyone to look at this mattress. The sagging is as deep as 2 inches in some sections. I'm outraged.
