We contracted with Hilltop Construction to complete a renovation project. Not one single thing was done correctly. They were to sand and put a specific product on newly installed hardwood floor, they did not sand and did not use the product that was provided to them and they instead used an inferior product that looks terrible. They did not even remove the dust/dirt that was on the floors and just placed a cheap polyurethane on top of the dirt making it now permanent and unsightly, it will have to be stripped, and sanded to and redone to fix it. They were to install closet doors, they put them on backwards and were requested three times to fix, and every time they tried, it was done incorrectly and now has to done by someone else. They ruined a wall by pounding on it senselessly with a hammer in their effort to fix another of their mistakes, and then left a huge mess that now has to be repaired and redone. They were to install kitchen cabinetry, and did not do it correctly, they were not properly affixed to the walls, they cut huge jagged holes in the brand new cabinets to fit over the plumbing fittings, and they did not level the cabinets at all, and scratched them and damaged the plumbing to the sink. There are many other things that were done incorrectly, to lengthy to list here. About the only they they did right was cash the check they were given to do the work. After many requests to them to fix their shoddy work, only to be me with more damage from their work, I would encourage anyone thinking of utilizing their services to reconsider. They cost us a lot of time, money, and headaches.
