We hired John conlin to do interior painting of a house that we just purchased. I sent him all the information he required via text as far as the colors and stuff what to paint what color. We stop by the house a few days after he got started and he was quite upset that we were there and told me this is not a good time I do not have time to talk to you I have a lot of work to do and he proceeded to go back inside of the house. We stopped by the following day in the afternoon and went inside of the house to see how things were going we noticed that the kitchen had been painted the wrong color and the closet doors in the children's rooms had been painted when they were not to be touched. We asked John to correct his mistakes and the next day he sent us an email stating that he would have to charge us more money because he was doing extra work. When I asked him to explain what the extra work was and how much she was wanting to charges he was upset and told me he would only charge for a hole that he fixed and that I needed to find someone else to do the installation of our ceiling fans which was work we had agreed he would do for an additional price. We were appalled at the level of incompetents by whoever was painting the inside of the house. Rooms painted the wrong color, in the wrong finish, paint overlapping on to the ceiling, onto the windows onto the fixtures paint on the carpet, paint on my kitchen floor tiles paint on my laundry room tiles, my Bannister had globs of paint drips, run and streaks. I know have to replace the closet doors in my children's room because John sprayed them the same color as the room color. I have to replace 2 bedroom doors that they tried to paint white and I really cannot say what went wrong other than it was the poorest job of brush painting I have ever seen even from a child. We are now forced to pay another person to come in and not only repaint the entire house to fix the problems but sand down the banister to repaint it replace the closet doors in the kids room and replace the main doors in the kids rooms because they are not salvageable do the labor intense work that would be required to put them in the state they were before Joseph John Conlon did work at my house.
