I contracted with a company to have work done on the outside of my home. The type of work to be done consisted of removing an existing retaining wall and to install and build a new retaining wall made of brick. They also were to concrete a walkway &step. The work was completed in a rather haphazard way. The fellows doing the work came in the evening and worked by lantern. Shortly after the work was done, I noticed that the mortar in between the bricks was crumbling. The situation has gotten much worse since then. My new next door neighbor had recommended them, since it was a family member of hers that had the business. She said she would speak to them about coming back and repairing the wall. No one ever came. We called the company ourselves, no one ever calls back This job cost $1,400.00. It may not seem like a lot of money to some people, but to me it was a very lot of money. I guess I will try and take them to small claims court. I dont know what else to do. Thanks for the opportunity to get this off my chest. Maybe it will help.
