I started working as a general office help for this company in September and from the begining I didn't like it at all. My boss was an asshole who always thought that I should know everything and that he doesn't have to explain me anything. Besides he yelled and cursed at me all the time. The other employee was a black guy who worked for him for a very long time. He use to come to work drunk very often and just wasn't a good example for me at all.
Anyways, my boss was alwayss late with payment and the last check he wrote me was a bad check so I ended up having negative balance on my account of over 700 dolars. I quit the job because one day a revenue officer came to the office asking for my boss I said he wasn't here. He said I would go to jail if I don't show him a business license. I didn't know my boss was having a problem with his construction license. After I was threatened to go to jail I quit the job. My boss was suppose to pay me for two weeks plus the bad check he wrote me. But he never did. I called him many times, he always responded that he didn't have money. I decided to go to Departement of Labor in Chicago and file a complaint. I am still waiting for their response. Just a warning to anybody. Never work for a Polish employers. They are cheaters and liares.
