I have a protection agreement with Sears for my refrigerator, oven, washing machine and microwave. My frig has an ice maker which leaks. Water runs all over the floor in the kitchen and then it freezes from the water and I have to chip it off so ice can flow through. The repairman said it's just a faulty frig and nothing he could do.
My gas oven has had problems since we bought it. The stove burners will start sparking for no reason at all times of the day and night. One time it caught on fire inside just below the burners. I called for repair the last time this happened. The technician I spoke to ordered a part and we waited 10 days for service. No over or stove top to use for a large family. When the part arrived the the repairman came it turned out to be a part for a door latch. He also said nothing was wrong with the stove and he left.
I pay decent money for this "protection" and get nothing for it. Each time someone comes they tell us there is nothing they can do about the problems. The frig is a Kenmore and the oven is a Maytag double oven.
