I purchased a washing machine from HH Gregg on a 12-month same as cash program, and set up my checking account to mail GE a payment every month. On THE LAST MONTH of the cycle, GE claimed my payment was 4 days late and hit me with $170 in "deferred" interest chages.
They also scammed me for 2 X $29 late fees and claimed that I missed a payment in June (but my bank shows the payment as having cleared).
I encourage everyone to call lovely Ms Carol at extension 51128 and tell her what a lousy company she works for. You can call HH Gregg to tell them that they are horrible, also: 1-800-284-7344 (8am 7pm EST) I also encourage everyone and all your friends to boycott GE CONS CARD CO and HH Gregg, and send them nasty letters.
