As a long time Microsoft Office user, I must say that I am extremely disappointed in the lack of technical support that customers can get from the company. I recently bought Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, and encountered problems with the Excel Solver. After having tried to solve the problem on my own, and realizing there must actually be a problem with the software itself, I tried to contact the company for help.
After having researched the Microsoft website for hours, sent an e-mail to technical support, having had a phone conversation for 45 mins with a Microsoft "technician", and so on, I still have received no useful information on this problem. All these support channels were helpless, and it seems like the only way I could get an expert's help is by paying a pretty important fee. This does not seem fair to me since I already BOUGHT the product, which is not working properly!
