Magic Jack Plus will charge you for keeping your present number. $19.99 tax the first year and $9.99 per year thereafter. What a rip off! Once a number is ported... There is NOTHING they need do to your account. Why such a high porting fee to begin with and pure greed for the annual fee? They also won't allow present customers to transfer their extra years of service they may have on their accounts or their international credits. And their customer service is only via computer chat and is very slooooooooow. They have never dealt with issues I have presented to them concerning numbers that I cannot reach. Also the picture they show for their plug connector indicates you can plug in and the unit is 90 degrees to the wall, What they sent me is a straight out from the wall design.
