I have used magic jack for three years sand have been pleased with it. Recently however, beginning a year ago I would have problems speaking with companies when I needed to speak with customer service. About half the time they would tell me they couldn't hear me. After renewing (at the increased price change) now I find that my personal conversations are not being heard on a consistent basis. I'll be talking and all of a sudden the person on the other end says they can't hear me. I don't why the quality seems to have deteriorated. For someone on a fixed income Magic Jack is a great idea, but if conversations are not being heard in totality it's pretty much a waste of money. I would suggest that people stick with a cell phone which generally is reliable.
