I accidently dropped my notebook and the CD/DVR optical drive will not stay closed.

I spoke to a representative almost 3 weeks ago who told me my notebook is not covered under the accidental damage protection plan. I know I selected that service plan. I'm always dropping these darn things. So I spoke to a second representative who told me yes, I was covered and they would send a replacement optical drive out immediately. I never received the optical drive so I contacted a third representative this evening who again told me I was not covered under the accidental damage protection plan. I was staring right at my account info, I finally convinced the guy that I paid an extra $300 freaking dollars for it, I better be covered.!! The guy finally agreed with me. An order was created. However when I received the confirmation call, the FOURTH representative I spoke with informed me that the order was cancelled because my information was not up to date.

I am FURIOUS. I am beginning a new job this week, and now I have to report to my boss with an optical drive that will not close. How embarassing! This problem could have easily been fixed weeks ago but FOUR representatives failed to fix my protection plan status. Simply unacceptable.

I will never buy an HP computer again!!
