Upon checking, I show that the item# 22-236-344 you returned under this RMA was received with physical damage. RMA was returned under tracking number 1ZA8V2920392250421 from UPS. Hard Drive is scratched. Return cannot be accepted and processed under this condition. Physical damage to any product purchased on our website will effectively void the warranty coverage. Any physically damaged products cannot be returned for a Refund or Replacement. You would need to contact UPS shipping carrier to file a shipping claim for compensation. The item will be held for 5 business days to allow you to file the claim and to contact Newegg with any carrier requirements (pictures of damage are available upon request)."

I sent an email to them in regards that the disk is well packaged and wrapped. Foam case wrapped all around the disk with an anti-statc bag. Bough 5 disk WD Red NAS 3TB and 1 failed DOA. Return with an RMA within 30 days. A long time customer since inception and this is how they treat their value customer. MicroCenter retail and online store would never do that. I asked them a proof of the damage package and how it is been scratch and where is it been scratch. I have the original picture of the item before sent to NEWEGG. Waiting for their respond and picture and return of defective merchandise for proof. A scratch from outside should not be a determination of a defective product and since the hard drive is an internal component failure. When installed a hard disk on the case it is bound some minor scratch outside due to mounting. I also notice someone also posted on this website indicate the same behavior and pattern of respond from NEWEGG. We all should make an alliance and send a direct message to NEWEGG. Consumer should not take a non-sense respond from NEWEGG. One Less customer for NEWEGG. For those who give a a green rating, wait until you have the parts failure, and see if NEWEGG customer "Bad" service will do anything for it.
