Newegg Misleading warranty advertising, unresponsive customer service

Newegg is the only Microsoft Xbox product retailer that registers the product with XBox and initiates the warranty when they receive it from the manufacturer instead of when it sells. This prevents Newegg customers from receiving a full 1-year warranty from the manufacturer on any Xbox product that is pruchased, though it is inferred prior to purchase. I purchased an Xbox and Kinect from Newegg and only received 60% (7 months) of the manufacturer warrant, even though most claims fall between months 10 and 12. Newegg's customer service is also very unresponsive. It took multiple efforts on my part over a two week period to receive any form of a response from Newegg on the warranty issue, only to be told "sorry, that is how it is". Shop elsewhere, save the money and the hassle!"
