Lenovo sales rep stated that the laptop I purchased would be able to upgraded to windows 8 professional for $50.

I AM NOT KIDDING when I say I spent over 3 hours on the phone with Lenovo trying to complete the upgrade to the system. First call was directed to warranty who spent 15 minutes verifying that the model COULD be updated. Then, describing the situation to 3 different departments, they told me that it was a Microsoft issue! The final call was to the "new order" department where the sales manager said that no program or discount like that existed.
25 minutes on hold to process the RMA.
Never again!!!
