I broke down in the desert of Califonia on the Highway, and had my car towed to the Aamco shop. The transmission detirmined that the transmission was fried recommended a new transmission with all the updates. The shop then replaced it, however the new transmission had an inner ring that suck out to far on the shaft of the torque converter. This defect in manufacute then began to eat into the power seal of the transmission. The car is driven lightly, and the defect took two years to cause a bad leak from the transmission.
I had a good local shop drop the trany and fix the defective seal. He informed me of the defective troque converter; he also informed me that the Aamco shop had busted my exhaust manifold when they replaced the transmission. I myslef, had also noticed a lose bolt on the under cariage before I took the car into my local shop here in Idaho.
And so this Aamco shop in Indio, CA is using low grade parts and seals, shoddy workmanship, and does not respond to my complaint. Nor does the shop believe me, they laugh at me!
