I typically like BP gas stations, however was very disappointing when i pulled into the Pembroke pines one that claimed to be charging $3.83 a gallon. Once i started pumping gas, they charged me $3.90 a gallon.
The attendant inside claims the advertised price was for cash paying customers only. At 9pm at night, the taped on sign reporting for cash only, was not lit up or anyway able to be read from the road. Needless to say i stopped pumping gas and left right away.
I found this kind of tactic to be cheap, dishonest and manipulative. I believe they do this, because they know most people do not look at the price of gas once they start pumping. Most people see the advertised sign that has the prices in VERY large numbers and use that as their guide to buy gas.
Very disappointed and hope others don fall for this low, criminal, deceptive game
