I pulled in to the Sun Gas Station and noticed there was no signage stating the price per gallon for the gas, but was in a hurry to get to the airport, so proceeded to the pump. Once I picked up the pump, I noticed the price per gallon for regular unleaded was a whopping $5.69 per gallon!
I thought it was a mistake, so started pumping the gas and when I got to half a gallon and it was up over $2.50 I realized there was something going on. I stopped and asked others at the station if their pumps were showing that price and they were all also upset and said it was that high, but they'd already started pumping and had to get to the airport, so they were going to do the minimum and then get on the road. I did the same.
Is it LEGAL to have a gas station and not post the price per gallon? Is there something that can be done? I called 911 and they said they get lots of complaints about that station and would send a police officer out there, but they've done that before, so what else can be done to protect others?
