Saturn Of The Bronx
Ripoff dishonest unprofessional smug SOB's

I have a 2003 Saturn ION 2 and have had to take it back 6 times. I find that strange that a brand new car with 10 miles on it when I first bought it has had to be taken back 6 times in approximately a year in a half. I have had electrical problems, rust, Oil pan was not a Saturn part it was from the junk yard, window molding/weatherstrip loose, struts and shocks needed to be changed, automatic mirrors stop working, and these are only the few ongoing problems that I have had with this car.

I took the car originally to the Saturn of the Bronx 3 months after I got the car. The car was bought in winter and there was no need to put on the Air Conditioning. As soon as it got warm outside, I turned on the AC and to my surprise, hot air is blowing. The AC indicator light isn't working. Well along with that, my car is turning off while driving on the highway. So I took it in to Saturn of the Bronx, thinking that I would receive A1 customer service. Well that didn't happen, had to deal with a Service Manager Derrick Warren, that lied about Saturn policies that were in fact not valid, pushed my car to the side because of this so called policy, and wouldn't let me speak to the mechanic that was actually "supposedly" looking at my car.

When I asked to speak to a General Mananger, I was given Michael O'Sullivan, well another lie he is part of financing. Nothing to do with escalated customer issues. I called the Saturn corporation and all I was told was to bring the car to another Saturn dealership. This is the way Saturn Corp deals with these type of issues, tells you to go somewhere else instead of actually doing something about it. Well I called back to the Saturn of the Bronx, and stated that I wanted to specifically speak with the owner. The owner did in fact call me back after MANY attempts via email to corp and continous verbal messages left at Saturn of the Bronx.

When he did finally call me from his home, he stated that he owned both the Bronx location and the location in Long Island City. Therefore they did tow my car to that location and fixed the issue for a short time. The problem came back yet again, and again. Besides the many visits regarding the weatherstrip and electrical problems. Recently my oil pan was cracked they said it was not covered by warranty. The location that I was used to going to (Larchmont) closed down so being that my car could not be driven; the closest location was the Saturn of the Bronx. I was forced again to go to this location. Who is still working there? Derrick and Mike. The owner had changed so I was hoping for a different repair manager and that obviously didn't happen.

When my husband went to complain, in order to calm him down they promised myself and him the world. We will refinance for the value of what you currently owe, NOT. If that is not what you want we will fix the car for no cost, NOT. It all boiled down to the sarcastic comment of buying an extended warranty. That the oil pan was NOT A SATURN PART but then told by the Saturn company that the part was authorized by Saturn. Why would a junkyard piece with yellow markings be allowed to be used on a brand new car? Ian (so called "Operations Manager", Derrick (so called "Repair Manager") and Mike (so called "Director of Financing" this visit but was "General Manager" the first visit) all had amnesia.

What they promised they took back? They wanted us to spend $408 to fix the oil pan. Ian hung up on my face before saying that he wanted my car off the property. His exact words were "at this point I don't want this car nor you on my lot". Hmmm didn't know he owned the joint. I was persistent on speaking with the Owner (Greg Williams), no one wanted to give me that information. It took me 30 minutes of being persistant to get the owner on the phone. I was told by the owner that I would attract "more bees with honey". So basically I needed to go there sweet as pie in order for anyone to do anything about my car. Amy from Saturn Corp, sided, of course, with the dealership.

Saturn did not stand by their product nor do they give you the A1 customer service they protray to the public. All I want is a reliable car since I am in no condition (pregnant) to deal with such stressful issues. Nor do I want a car that would put myself or this baby in danger. I don't feel 100% comfortable with these cars at all. Saturn and GM should be completely ashamed of their product and the treatment of their customers. Please NEVER buy a Saturn. It will be a disappointment.
