Ripoff - purchased a car but cannot get them to send the title paid cash for a car but cannot get the title

I found Miami Mastercars on ebay. They had a high number of positive feedbacks, and a high percentage of positive feedbacks. They were also Platinum Powersellers.

I negotiated with them by email and by phone, but the sale was never consummated on ebay. When we came to an agreement, I booked a flight from AZ to FL to pickup the car, and I took with me a Cashiers Check for the full amount we had agreeed upon, plus tax, plus another $189 they had added at the last minute. That $189 was described as a non-negotialbe fee for registering the vehicle & for delivering the vehicle to the transporter. Never mind they did not register the vehicle for me because I live out of state, and never mind that they did not deliver the car anywhere for me as I picked it up.

Additionally, I had specifically asked on the phone if they were in possession of the title. I was specifically told "Yes" but when I arrived at Miami Mastercars at 9.30am Monday morning as arranged not only was the car not ready for me but they did not have the title.

I was promised the title would be with them by the coming Friday, 4 days later, and they would overnight it to me via Fedex next day air. The car was not ready until almost 2pm, and it would not start due to a flat battery. I requested that they replace the battery but they said there was nothing wrong with it & they jump started the car. The battery was fine... Until the next day! I had to replace the battery once I got to New Orleans, one day later, it was only $50 but a considerable inconvenience.

It is now 6 weeks since I took delivery of the car & paid for it, and Reza Pour, Maria, and Miami Mastercars are still getting creative with excuses for not sending me the title. The latest promise is that they will have it in two days from today & will next-day it to me. We'll see.

I have completed an online report for the Florida Attorney General but heard nothing back from them so far. The company, Miami Matercars, doesn't seem to give a hoot as to my customer satisfaction. WHen I call I get put on hold and my messages are never answered nor are my calls ever returned. The company is no longer listed as any kind of powerseller on ebay and their customer satisfaction rating and positive feedback ratio has dropped considerably, but none of that helps me now. Since the sale was not completed in time to be an ebay sale, I cannot even leave them a negative feedback.

With benfit of hindsight, I don't think the saving was worth it to fly out to Florida and drive back. I do not feel I can recommend Miami Mastercars, except as a company to steer clear of, and I would never deal with them again, it just is not worth the aggravation. At this point I don't even legally own the vehicle since I still do not have a valid title. For all I know at this point it ould even be a stolen car, since I have no proof they were entitled to sell it to me. And they still have not reimbursed me for the battery replacement, even though they said they would do so if I faxed them the bill, which I did several weeks ago.
