Sunday 08/12: Kia is towed to Milstead
Monday 08/12: Nathan Service Intake Rep calls and says: This is going to hurt. How did you get your car here, the motor is locked up, we could not even roll it, we may not even be able to service your car.

I explain to him that if the? Clutch? Was bad then the safety start may have to be checked, that the car ran fine, no engine light. Nathan agreed to have it looked at by another tech. Nathan Never calls back.

Tuesday 08/12: I call Nathan back for answer on diagnosis on the Locked up Motor. He reply is I dont know we have to it started but the transmission work is about $1,600 I said let me now if the motor is locked up, I need to know I just had it at Milsteads Auto repair they can confirm that the motor is fine, they did a diagnostic. Nonetheless I asked for warranty service for both issues Transmission/Motor Locked up. Nathan said I dont know I have to check on that Never Calls back.

Thursday 8/16: Barbra Service Intake Rep calls me says: Labor quote is $500 to look into transmission
I ask what about the motor, Barbara: I dont know why that was said motor is fine; do you want to begin work? I say yes.

Friday 8/17 visit to Cowboy Kia: Nathan and Technician Show me parts disassembled at diagnosis.
1. Broken Fork (PN41300)
2. Sheared Transmission shaft () this part was not replaced and We saw visual damage in the outer radius of the shaft near the inlet of the Disc Assembly.
3. Damaged Bearings (PN41421B)
4. Disc Assembly (PNs 41100-41300)
5. Cylinder Assembly (PN 41710)

I said, by the look of the damage this is warranty work, Nathan said he was waiting in his DM to call he walked away returned and said warranty would not be covered never said why. I approved repairs with quote of $1,600.
I called Darlene with Customer Support and created case K2337267, with no success the case was moved to the Southern Regional Office Ola Sprague 800-225-3193.

Thursday 08/23: My last conversation (phone) in the matter was with Ola Sprague KIA Motors America Southern Region 100 Galleria Parkway Southeast Suite 1550 Atlanta GA 30339 (770) 951-9242

Mr. Mercado this is not going to be covered under warranty. I asked why? She stated the District Manager Physically Saw the part and the decision is made I said the DM was not there, Nathan waited on a call from the DM last Friday the day I saw the parts myself. She said Well its what they told me, I cannot do anything for you I said they performed the diagnosis backwards. The service should include diagnosis inside the transmission. (Due to the sheared shaft)

99% of this type of damage comes from the inside of the transmission. Every part has a given tolerance of movement. One cannot excessively put force on parts such as the clutch pedal which is designed for force to be applied, which is connected to multiple parts such as the lever and the cylinder which all have a tolerance of movement upon activation, she said Im not a technician Kia has certified technicians it will not be covered under warranty if the vehicle is repaired I suggest you pay for the repairs
