RIPPED OFF big time by Huntington Beach Chrysler Jeep Dodge for $548.00. My 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited had no power and smelt like rotten egg's going up to Big Bear. Local repair shop told me it was the catalytic converter and it should still be under warrenty. Drove to Huntinton Beach Jeep told them what the repair shop said. They said they would check it out. They called me around 2:00 and said the catalytic converter was find and the problem was something else. I told them to repair whatever was needed.
Drove up to Big Bear the following weekend. Same thing, no power and smelled really bad. Went back to HB Jeep and got the big run around about what the manufacture recommended for the problems I was having.
Went to Orange Coast Jeep on Habor Blvd in Costa Mesa and told them about the rotten egg smell and no power. He said "it sounds like the catalytic converter"
They replaced the catalytic converter under warranty at NO CHARGE.
Called Consumer Affair Complaint Department about Huntington Beach Chrysler Jeep and left a message about the situation... 2 days later I recieved a call from them telling me that they will contact Huntington Beach Chrysler Jeep about the complaint.
About 10 days later I get a call from this guy that sounded very upset. He was from the Consumer Affairs Department and had just left Huntington Beach Jeep. He told me to take them to court because they wouldn't even talk to him.
He was upset because he had purchased his new Jeep Wrangler from them.
He mailed me all the info I needed to take them to small claims court.
I never filed the claim. I just didn't want to think about it anymore. Very upsetting situation.
