I purchased to a Jeep Wrangler private party that was still under warrenty. The check engine light had come on and I took it the Tim Whitehead's service department to get it fixed four times to get them to find out what the problem was and to fix it.
Apparently, instead of fixing the problem, they must had been just resetting the system and light because after 100 miles it would come back on. It wasn't until I went and had a diagnostic done on at Autozone on Rucker Blvd that they said it had an O2 sensor code. I took the slip back to them and they finally fixed it, blaming it on a bad catlytic converter.
The kicker of it was I had to pay to get the warrenty transfered to my name, something I've never heard of before, and for a new catalytic converter, and for them to remove a "non-factory" peice of equiptment, which was a plate to protect the underside of the vehicle.
Total time to remove plate: 5 minutes
Cost to remove and re-install plate: $150.
I don't know what the other Jeep service departments are like in the Wiregrass, but this place was like a horror story. Avoid!!!
