I had to take a trip from San Antonio to Austin to meet a friend.
It is not a long trip but I was close to needing an oil change so I decided before I left I would take my car to the Wal-Mart just down the street from my house before I left on my day trip.
I got the same thing I always do. Iol change, fluid refill, tire check etc.
I left and went to Austin. On my way home from Austin my car started making noise and started to smoke.
I found the nearest open garage and pulled in. Turns out that when I got my oil changes they failed to fill up the power steering fluid.
My power steering system was bad. The next morning, I contacted Wal Mart and spoke with the service manager whose excuse was "well we were really busy and it was probably just overlooked."
When I explained that I felt that they were responsible for the damage he told me that he would be more than happy to give me a free oil change.
Great a $20.00 oil change in exchange for $450.00 in car repairs.
I spent weeks calling Wal-Mart and their corporate offices. I actually got into an arguement with the same Supervisor and he had the nerve to tell me to sue him and called me a dumb b*ch.
I will not only never get my oil changed by Wal Mart again but I refuse to shop at a store that lets their employees speak to customers that way.
